Mendocino isn’t just a feast for the eyes—it’s a feast for the taste buds, too. From fresh seafood to farm-to-table creations, the region’s culinary scene is a defining feature of Mendocino County. For food lovers, few destinations rival the charm and flavor of Mendocino dining.

Seasonal Food Festivals
Nature’s bounty is celebrated in the annual Crab, Urchin, and Mushroom Festivals. Every January, June, and November, these foodie fests pepper the year with fun and tasty culinary delights. Restaurants participate with chef-curated, multi-course tasting menus, deals on lodging pair with festival dates, and expert-led talks and walks help to not only celebrate, but also educate on these rich and wild offerings. Berries, herbs, edible flowers, and seaweed are just a few more of the amazing gifts that commonly come from the local nature, straight to your table.

Sip in Style: Wine and Beer
We eat well. We also like to sip well! With Anderson Valley at the heart of The County, it is no wonder wine is one of Mendocino’s longtime industries. Pinot Fest and Anderson Valley’s Winter White Wine Festival highlight the region’s top varietals and bring winemakers and appreciators together in a stunning setting.
But Mendocino isn’t just about wine. Craft beer lovers have plenty to cheer for, too. With three unique breweries in Fort Bragg, The New Museum Brewers & Blenders in Point Arena, Anderson Valley Brewing, and a handful of new breweries popping up in Ukiah, we would be remiss not to have a beer fest. Anderson Valley Brewery knows how to party and has been kicking off the month of May with the Boonville Beerfest since the 90’s. This year, the Beerfest hosted 60+ craft breweries, a stellar line-up of live music, food vendors, local craftmakers, and more.
