Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back is a community impact program that partners with small hospitality businesses in support of local non-profits. In fellowship with our guests, Nicholson House supports sustained beauty, nature, and education on the Mendocino Coast by donating $2 per night’s stay to MendoParks — $1 per night will be contributed by our guests and is matched by Nicholson House to fund MendoParks. We are happy to make reservations for you at Beaujolais. Just ask!

We are located directly in the Mendocino Village. All Village amenities and area activities are directly out your door, from galleries to restaurants, bars, boutiques, and more. We are also close walking distance to Big River Beach and Portuguese Beach, as well as the gorgeous cliffside walks along the Mendocino Headlands.

Right next door you will find Sweetwater Eco Spa with redwood soaking tubs and massage therapists. There are also other wonderful bodywork options within the Mendocino Village. We are happy to direct you, but best to plan a little bit ahead.

For the most part, the items and amenities in our guest rooms are for enjoyment during your stay and clearly explained in your welcome letter. However, guests often like to scoop up a custom cozy robe, deck of playing cards, or Nicholson House wine key. If you take one of these replaceable items home, we put it on your card on file and send you an email invoice. Easy peasy.

Smoking is not allowed indoors, whatsoever. Smoking is allowed outside, only, at least 20 feet from any point of entry or open window. We ask that you dispose of any butts outside so that the smell does not contaminate indoor spaces. If we find residue of smoke in a guest room, a minimum cleaning fee of $300++ will be added to cover the cost of cleaning.
