Nicholson House Inn Whale Bedroom
The Whale Room
1-Bedroom with Private Bath

Mendocino is surrounded by beautiful blue skies, green forests and the beautiful Pacific Ocean.  Taking a walk through the many forests, the Headlands, the river or the beach is always a delightful experience.  This Whale Bedroom room is named after the famous whales that pass by Mendocino most of the year.  It has western views to the meadow and ocean beyond where you can watch whale spouts and see them emerge from the sea.  It's a great place to experience the sparkle of the day sun on the ocean, the evening amber sunsets and the luminous glow of the moon reflecting off of Mendocino Bay. It's nicely decorated in a black, beige and gold motif with rich interior wall paper.  The room has its own bathroom with a shower.  While in your room, you can relax in our plush leather swivel chairs and enjoy the view of the open spaces and rural America.

When it's time for bed, extra thick queen sized mattress, goose down feather bed, goose down feather pillows, sateen sheets and fleece blankets are there to assure a comfortable nights rest.

The art work in this room is by famous local artists with depiction's of whaling and coastal life.   There is also a hair dryer, iron and small ironing board in the room.  Extra blanket is available in the bottom drawer of the dresser.  The room is upstairs across from our Hospitality Suite with kitchen, living room, and TV/DVD.  Pets are not allowed in this room.
